At the beginning of August, we headed to Virginia Beach to visit Keith's family. They only live about 6 hours away so it isn't a bad drive (compared to a drive to Minnesota!!)
We spent a lot of time with family. The cousins got to play and the boys got special time with Nannie and PaPaw!
We did take all the kids to the VA Marine Science Museum. It was fun but a lot of work and we adults - me, Keith, and Nannie - were wore out when we got back! But it was a lot of fun. We used Cade's backpack leash. And boy did he enjoy that. He walked and walked and walked!
We also had Cade dedicated with our family there when we visited. Keith's aunt Joy did a beautiful family ceremony for us. She annointed Cade's head, his hands, and his feet as part of the ceremony. It was beautiful! Then we ate :)
Keith spent a lot of time golfing and just relaxing. This is the first summer where he has taken a non-working vacation! Actually he has taken two of those this summer and I'm so glad he has had time to just relax.
We did have a scary experience while we were there. Keith's brother, Kevin, was in a car accident. He is truly a walking miracle after the crash! And we are so thankful for God's protection on him.
It was just a wonderful 5 days with family. Those days always seem to go too fast!
