Cade had his 1 year checkup earlier this week.
He is 32 1/2 inches long (100th percentile).
He is 24 pounds and 14 ounces (75th percentile)
And his head size is 18.8 (82th percentile).
Can you tell why he is in the 24 month clothes :) ha ha Keith is ready to get him a basketball and start practices.
He continues to be healthy and strong. The only "issue" we had was when he was laid on the exam table to check his height, he "freaked" out. He started crying and pulling at me. He did the same thing when we set him on the scale and when the doctor started to exam him. The only thing I can think of is that it was similar look and feel as when he had his laser treatment this last time. His next treatment is June 15 and we're praying that he does well with it. He'll also have an eye doctor appointment at the beginning of June - but those are pretty quick and easy with the doctor just looking in his eyes with special equipment (and no pain!).

Prayers of a little boy
I think one of my favorite parts of the day is when I get to put Kory to bed. We snuggle together, read a couple books and say his prayers. It is always neat to listen to his precious prayers.
Usually I start the prayer because he says he isn't sure how to :) Our prayers always include a spot for him to pray for friends and family and anyone else he thinks of.
It is always interesting who he prays for. I often wonder what prompts his prayers. One night, I remember he would only prayer for one of his friends. He actually just kept saying his name over and over and over. I thought, you know what, I'm not going to stop him because I don't know what he is sensing about his friend right now.
So tonight when we got to this spot, he prayed for a couple of his friends he plays with regularly, and then he prayed for a little boy we know who is chronically sick. And then he said, "well mommy, who else has problems." He then answered that question with "Oh, grandpa, please help grandpa feel better and mommy to not feel sad. And for Cade's birthmark."
My little boy's prayers tonight truly touched my heart tonight.
