Busy Busy Busy....

Oh my goodness. How did I get so far behind on things again?

It has been a busy couple of weeks. Let's see... Cade turned 1 at the beginning of the month. We actually had three parties for him :) On his birthday, the four of us went out to have ice cream at a local ice cream shop. It was a very nice way to celebrate him.

He is getting so big now. I look at him and wonder where my baby went? He is now waving and loves to tell people "Hi." That includes people on tv and people he can see outside the window. Right now he loves to be difficult by putting his foot up on the table. And when you remind him to put it down, he just grabs his foot, grins, and blinks his big eyes. It is hard not to smile at that :)

He is starting to say more... he started with "dada" and added what sounded like "all done" and then it sounded like "my mama". He loves to call for "an gee" who is our wonderful sitter. And he now calls for "nanas" which I said back as bananas and he just grinned. Throw in a "hi" and his "grunting" for his brother too.

He did really well with his laser treatment in April. Again no bruising so we can only say thank you for your prayers. Right now he is teething. What I thought was one tooth coming in is really 3! Two on the top and one on the bottom. It's been a rough couple days for him.

Kory is Kory!! He is now enrolled in school for the fall. He'll be doing a home-based public education program. We are very excited. And as part of it, we've created his own little area. Keith and his dad built a wonderful desk with shelves for us in the basement. It will be where Kory and I work on his school work and we have a little play area for Cade too. It will be great.

Last month Kory finished his multi-sport class. Now he is in a sport and swim class at the Y. He loves it and is always excited for it. Each week the hour class is broken into two parts: the first is a sports lesson and the second half is fun pool time. There are a total of 4 kids in the class - two boys and two girls - all around age 4 to 5. It has been great for Kory. We're looking at starting him in swimming lessons in the fall and see what other activities he might want to try. The hard part for me is chasing after Cade who wants to be in on the action as well. Thankfully Cade doesn't try to get out of his stroller while we are in the pool area!

Me... well I've been busy busy busy. Even now, I am ignoring the pile of laundry that needs to be folded :) This past weekend, I actually worked in the flower beds and got about 3/4 of the front ones mulched. It looks so pretty - except for the black dye in my van from the wet black mulch bags leaking. Guess what I will be doing this weekend????

Well I think that is as best of an update as I can give right now. As always, I will try to be better about blogging. Of course, I say that as I have to figure out when was the last time I posted pictures for my family on Snapfish to see :)
