Trust... But I can't see you...

As we are patiently waiting for some things to fall into place in our lives, I've been thinking a lot again about trusting God. I then find myself thinking about a post I made in August. It's reassuring to me, and I thought I would just share it again.

But I can't see you...

I've been meaning to blog about this for awhile and honestly I keep on forgetting.

This happened awhile back but I think it is a good illustration of God and how he works with us.

The boys and I were on a walk one afternoon. They were in the double stroller and I was pushing from behind.

Kory got a little panicky - which I don't really understand why. Here was our conversation.

Kory: Mommy, we are going to get lost.
Me: No Kory, I know where we are going.

Kory: But Mommy, I don't know where we are going.
Me: It's okay Kory. I know the way there and back. Don't worry.

Kory: But Mommy, I can't see you.
Me: It's okay Kory. You can hear my voice, right?

Kory: Yes, but I can't see you.
Me: But I am right here and I know exactly where we are going. You'll be okay.

It hit me. Aren't we like that with God? How many times do we panic because we don't know where we are going?

How many times are we worried because we can't see God? Yet, he is always there.

Right behind us, guiding our "stroller" in the right direction. Avoiding the bumps we can't see while we are sitting in the stroller and watching things go by - like my boys do. But he is always there and always knows the right direction.

Yep - it was a good reminder to me that day awhile back. And it still comes to mind when I start to get worried about things.
