Windows and Paperwork

We had a busy day here today... Mom and Kory worked on washing windows from the inside. My house hasn't looked this clean for years.

I spent the morning going through paperwork. Since 1998, I had kept a small plastic crate for each year's financial paperwork. You know all the bills, statements, etc for each year. I decided it was time to clear out everything I didn't need. I was able to narrow down each small crate to one folder of tax paperwork for the year.

It was a great feeling to clean things out! Part of me thought of keeping some of the receipts so that years from now I could see what I paid for things. But the other part of me found it kinda depressing. "I spent that much on that! What was I thinking."

I now have 4 small crates to shred. So guess a shredding party will be planned soon.

My next plan is to go through the filing cabinet that still holds all my notes and papers from my college days. Hopefully I can clear a lot out of that!
