The other day, we were going through the drive in at Dunkin Donuts. I asked if they had chocolate milk for Kory. They were out. Kory was disappointed and asked why he couldn't have chocolate milk.
My answer was "Their chocolate cow is missing. He is lost."
It was meant as a joke. But Kory took it seriously.
How did the chocolate cow get lost mommy?
How will the chocolate cow get home mommy?
How does the chocolate cow make milk mommy?
I tried to explain that mommy was being silly and that there wasn't a chocolate cow.
But he wouldn't let it go.
We ate lunch at IKEA that day and I got him chocolate milk. He sat by another little boy and said, "The chocolate cow is lost."
So I had to explain to the little boy's mommy about Dunkin Donuts and the "lost" chocolate cow.
It was quite cute.
