On Sunday, I did something completely out of character. I posed as an 40s/50s pin up model. Yes you heard that right! And it was soooo much fun!
A couple years ago, I read an article about a photographer outside of Philly who does pin up model pictures. The tasteful ones from the 40s and 50s. I tucked the article aside for just in case. Well as I was thinking of what to get Keith for a 10th anniversary gift, I pulled out the article.
I called and made my appointment with Celeste Giuliano Photography.
Back in July, I went and met with Celeste for a consultation. We talked about themes for pictures and I even tried on some outfits. She had sooo many vintage outfits and accessories to try on.
Then Sunday, I went for my photo shoot. It was so much fun. And while it was a gift for Keith- as part of the package I bought he gets two choose printed photos - I realized it was also a gift for me :)
I got to her studio at 10:30. First stop: hair. Second stop: Makeup. And then to the photo shoot. I was done by about 2. It was so much fun to be pampered. To have my hair and makeup done- even got fake eyelashes. I felt so glamorous.
And the photo shoot itself was so much fun! It was hard work. Head turned. Chin down. Hand her. Leg there.
Then it was back home. But I got to keep a bit of a reminder of the day - I kept my hair and makeup on. I even changed into one of my own dresses to surprise Keith when I got home. Keith loved the hair and makeup - especially the bright red lipstick! Kory on the other hand kept on asking me to take off my lips and hair. He even reminded me at his bedtime :)
In 2 weeks, I'll get my proofs to look at. I'm so excited! Of course, Keith will get to look at the proofs and decide which ones he wants for printed pictures.
I would definitely do this again! Maybe in 5 years or so. We'll see.
